General Alzate, the Colombian general abducted by FARC Rebels along with tao others last week has been released. The news has been confirmed by the President.
He was abducted by FARC on November 16. His release would have come earlier but the rebel group held him back blaming it on the heavy presence of military in the area where he was held.
