NIGERIA - FG to Buy Cook Stoves with 9.2bn!

 The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved the purchase of clean cook stoves worth of 9.2bn and wonder bags for rural women under the National Clean Cooking Scheme.

Sarah Collins, a South African invented the wonder bags, a non-electric slow cooker. She is an eco-entreprenuer who came up with the idea some six years back during a power cut. According to Punchng, the 9.2bn is meant for the purchase 750,000 units of clean stove and 18,000 wonder bags said by Muhammad, The Minister of Federal Capital Territory while briefing newsmen.

Also, the stoves will be assembled locally in order to provide jobs. 20million clean stoves are expected to be provided by the scheme.
