2015 Elections: APC Finally Picks A Presidential Candidate - General Buhari!

In what many Nigerians termed as "road to a new Nigeria", the All Progressive Congress national convention and the presidential primary election was held on Wednesday. The exercise ended on Thursday as General Muhammadu Buhari won the ticket.


After the sorting of votes, the counting of each aspirant's votes started with the former vice president's votes counted. The atmosphere of the venue was already in a jubilation mood immediately the sorting ended. Party faithfuls were seen jubilating with so much joy.

7,214 delegates were accredited for voting,
General Muhammadu Buhari had a wooping 3,430 votes
Atiku Abubakar secured 954 votes.

Sam Nda-Isaiah 10
Invalid votes 16

Atiku has also congratulated Buhari in a tweet (Read the tweet at http://bit.ly/1yDATkO).

While watching the exercise on a national TV, it was very clear that the conduct was very good. It was gathered that the public toilets provided at the venue had televisions in them.
