Residents of an area around Cele Bus stop, Oshodi in Lagos on Friday cried out to the security agencies and the government over rising incidents of gang rape in the area.
Aside from mischievous and destructful individuals who have made the act a habit, the dressing of ladies of nowadays is also of great concern which sometimes forms the basis of this devilish act.
A mother said "I don't allow my daughters to go out at nights anymore because of the rumors of the gang rape.
" I have told my daughters to stop putting on mini skirts that will attract any form of molestation and rape by hooligans". If all parents could make their daughters do that, issues like rape and other acts like this will happen no more.
She also said "the cause of the gang rape is also as a result of bad dress ladies put on. They put on clothes that show their inner wears which contributes to the manace of the act. The government should address the issue.
I hope ladies will think on this and change their ways.
