MWD: TOWARDS ACHIEVING A MELIORATE AND SUCCESSFUL 2015

Wonderful Wednesday beautiful people, Happy New Year! Different prophecies and declarations have been made about the year 2015. More is still sure to roll in as each day passes. I'm neither a seer nor a prophet, but I'll categorically declare, whether you like it or not, this is the year for possessing all lost glory and possessions, destiny fulfillment, divine upliftment, multiple restoration and unparalleled favour, AMEN! I warmly usher you to another inspiring episode of mid-week drive, the first for the year 2015.
One thing I’ve come to realise is that making promises, setting targets, outlining benchmarks, is the easiest thing to do. Every man on earth does that even unconsciously. Achieving all these goals is however a mountainous task. It takes a strong man willed at heart to adumbrate certain goals, and a stronger man with diehard attitude to accomplish a greater percentage of it, if not all. So it's all easier said than done but definitely not unachievable.

With a positive mind, sheer determination and above all, God's intervention, there is just a little comma to what you can achieve. Outlined below are helpful tips that will prevent you from being choked or railroad in 2015.

Roll Over Old Goals
Just like in university when all carry over courses are registered first ahead of regular courses in a new session, so also should you bring forward all uncompleted projects in 2014; the near misses and those you didn't even act on. Lay them out ahead of your new goals. Prioritize them this year and incline your heart towards achieving them first before your new goals. You can however run your old and newly set targets concurrently. Acting big on your old goals will create a positive vibe towards accomplishing your new goals.

Save! Save!! Save!!!
Learn to be prudent in your spending. Exercise the rule of saving. Cultivate the habit of saving for rainy days. Quit behaving prodigally and start practicing 'SAYE' (Save As You Earn). At the end of the day, you'll have enough to fall back on when in dire financial help. Still trying to fathom this, how about you look at it from this perspective. Say you save #500 daily, that's #3,500 weekly, about #20,000 monthly and close to one-quarter of #1,000,000 annually. It's that easy! If you find it hard to save, I'd suggest you get a piggy bank or local 'kolo' safe box and endeavour to drop a token in it daily. This method may be archaic but it’s very effective.

Minimize Luxury
Most people tend to spend to impress or suppress so called 'oppressors'. That's a very bad reason to dole out cash. This year, develop a habit of saying NO to unnecessary spending and extravagant outlays. You don't have to buy that expensive 'aso-ebi' out of being peer pressured (sic) when you know you're financially handicapped. Nor should you borrow money to finance that cash gulping birthday bash because you don't want to let down your cliques. Also, it’d be suicidal to move down to high-brow places in the city because your friends live there when you're living on less than 50% of their salary. These people won't be there to bail you out when you slide deep into a huge financial mess. Do all you can to cut all excessive expenses, every prodigality and learn to live way below your purse. This will ensure you're financially stable to successfully see out every project you embark on. Bottom-line; be thrifty in your spending. Spend wisely!

Friend-Ship
As the popular saying go, 'Your friends can either make or break you'. Peradventure you're a victim of bad company or member of an association whereby your friends only call you to attend the latest gig in town, paint the town greenish blue and red or layout trap to catch the newest 'chick'/bloke on the block etc.; I compel you to jump this friend-ship before you get shipwrecked. Dissociate yourself completely from such freemasonry. Cut off every unnecessary and unprofitable social and emotional tie. Unambitious friends will keep dragging you down. They're destiny delayers. Mingle with forward thinking people whose sight are set on breaking new grounds. Act proactively and lead a life of a high-flyer this year.

Procrastination
It is simply the act or habit of putting off or delaying, especially something requiring immediate attention; practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the "last minute" before the deadline. Procrastination is the biggest killer of time and destiny. The pleasure principle may be responsible for procrastination thus one may prefer to avoid negative emotions, and to delay stressful tasks. This year, try your utmost best never to leave an important project undone or postponed till later date. Time and tide waits for no man. Never derail a project for pleasurable experience. Road to success is very hard. Don't 'cause of an obstacle delay a project till when you feel will be best convenient. You might never find that convenient time to complete the task. Tick says the clock, tock it goes. So do whatever you've got to do at the right time and as at when due.

Practice Giving
There is no fallacy to principle of giving. That bible passage explains it all. Make it a cross to touch people's life and God will surprise you this year. Do not wait till someone come knocking or wailing at your door before doing so. Take a look at your immediate environment; identify one or two lives you can extend your hands and heart of love to. You don't have to declare your intentions publicly, as doing so results to instantly receiving your reward; in this case, earthly praise thereby forsaking God's heavenly reward.

Wealthy men in the society feast on this principle. It's a mystery, sacred rule and one of the biggest secret to prosperity. Giving doesn't have to be monetary. It can be material, deed, act of kindness or lovely gesture. Never say nay, you can be that divine touch a life needs to spring up. However, never give with the intention of receiving reward. Give wholeheartedly without dwelling on your gesture. Remember, God loves a cheerful giver.

With all this said and done, you're in for a great and awesome year. Never give up, keep striving on. Remain positively inclined and orientated towards a successful 2015. Have a successful, glorious and prosperous year ahead!
