4 Incredible tips that'll ensure you end this year a success

Good day my lovely readers, welcome to another inspiring episode of Midweek Drive.

Not too long ago, precisely 7th January of this year, I wrote an article on how to accomplish a very successful year. In case you missed it, you can view it here ---> CLICK HERE

The year 2015 has been a hugely successful one so far for some people while some can't pinpoint what they've been able to achieve.
With almost half of the year gone, I've got question(s) for you today, 'What have you achieved so far?'  Have you completed or kick-started that age-long project you've been dwelling on? Have you finally passed that entrance examination? Have you finally broken free of your addiction and/or personal limitation? Have you gone a step or two above where you stopped last year? Have you gotten rid of that progress-hindering habit(s)? Have you finally discovered your self-belief? Have you succeeded in laying the right and legit foundations for your dreams?

If your answer to any of the above-listed questions is an emphatic YES, I congratulate you. Feel free to sit majestically like a king. However, if your answer to any of these questions is a NO, well, you still have the right to sit and relax like a king, albeit, a worried king.

I know you've got loads of excuse as to why you've fallen short of your 'new year' targets. Maybe time flew too fast you couldn't hold your breathe or you couldn't channel the right resources needed to actualize your desired goal(s). Whatever the case may be, you still got time on your side. There is still over 180 days to stamp a mark of achievement in year 2015. Still confused or tangled with what to do? The distinct notes below will prove helpful.

1. Work with a preference scale:
I've come to discover that most people are always at sea with what ambition to pursue. They've got loads of idea locked up in their head and it's increasingly difficult for them to settle down with one. Such people tend to be Jack of all trades but master of none. They run a lot of goal concurrently and end up achieving next to nothing. Has this been your bane in the last few months or thereabout? No worries! All you need to do is employ the preference scale. You arrange all your goals in astronomical order, i.e., base on their weight of importance. Set them on a preference scale of 1-10 with 10 being the biggest. Then pick the goal with utmost priority (which is of course the goal with biggest weight) and focus solely on it. This will ensure you record a tangible success in no time. However, if you have more than one goal appearing paramount, treat both with utmost importance and exert equal energy and focus towards seeing out these goals. Running two or more goals simultaneously may be tricky and difficult as distraction may occur but it is nonetheless achieveable. However, if you encounter problem while trying to combine several goals together, make sure you switch back to 'safe mode' which is the 'preference scale'.

2. Keep your goals afloat:
Ok.. I understand. You don't know how to go about achieving your goal. It's like you're empty and there's absolutely nothing popping up your head. And you feel like drowning that goal. No.. Don't you do that! Relax, I've got empathy for you. How about I tell you that you have no problem at all. I'm sure you've heard the catch phrase, "There is nothing new under the sun".

Virtually all that is there to achieve have been done by one person or the other. What is that thing you want to achieve? Build a house? Buy a car? Get an apartment? Become successful in your career of choice? Be outstanding academically? Setup your own business? Record gigantic growth in your business? etc.. All you need to do is get a template, work with it and make a stark improvement on it to suit your taste. Get in touch with people with similar achievement. Seek advice from professionals who have seen it all in whatever goal you trying to accomplish. Gather even the tiniest details and implement it in your own work ethics. This will not only inspire you but also ensure you record reasonable success. The key to success is following someone else's example while making your own contribution unique.

3. Go with passion and fascination:
Most reasons why people fail to achieve their goals is because they ventured into endeavours that contradict their passion. You've to be intrigued by whatever you're pursuing. Going on a passionless or less fascinating mission to succeed is suicidal. It is a time bomb waiting to explode. Doing what you love and giving it your best shot will quicken your steps toward success. An adventure based on unimpassioned endeavours is meaningless and hardly materialize into success. Never make the mistake of delving into platonic ventures. Such success - if eventually attained - is very difficult to manage and at such do not last a lifetime.

4. Keep your oars out:
When your boat hits the rock, don't rest on oars, keep on moving! When it seems like all doors of opportunity are shut, don't be disturbed, keep on knocking! When you encounter obstacles and the only visible option is to turn back, don't give up, keep on moving! Successful people at one time or another faced grave decisions in time of crisis but no success would've been alloted to them had they thrown in the towels. Stormy situations don't last forever. When you've got a face-off with one, go back to the drawing board and come up with a strategy to outwit such situation. That is true mark of someone who will never take NO for an answer. Problems and difficulties will surely come your way when riding on the highway of success. The only justifiable thing to do is face the challenges head on and keep moving forward.
