[Breaking News] Nigeria: Clash at House of Representatives

The plenary session on Thursday (26/06/2015) was disrupted by some members while attempt was also made to take away the Ace. 

The feud started as the Speaker, Hon. Dogara's loyalists clash with some party loyalists over principal officers posts in the house. This action created rowdiness as members left there seats and converged at the speaker's seat area as shouting went on. 

Attempts to call the honorable to order were however not successful as members already appeared divided. Some members were chanting Dogara! Dogara!! Dogara!!! As at 12:02pm on Thursday, order has not been restored.

Speaker, Dogara sat in a spot while his supporters rally round him giving some sort of counselling.

In my view, this is not the kind of examples we want to be seeing at this level. The members should have it at the back of their minds that they are being watched by international communities.
