The inmates debate team which was founded just two years ago made a nice reputation for themselves before now having beaten other teams from US Military Academy at West Point and University of Vermont but they stated that Harvard's team proved to be their biggest opponent.
The Bard Prison which is an initiative of Bard college runs the facilities in other part of New York. One of the inmates, Alex Hall says “We may not be as naturally rhetorically gifted but we work really hard.”

The Harvard debate team also posted on their Facebook page after the encounter saying: "There are few teams we are prouder of having lost a debate to than the phenomenally intelligent and articulate team we faced this weekend" .
