Governorship election in Kogi state came to a close on Saturday night while collation and announcement of results from all polling units commenced on Sunday morning. The two major contenders are Abubakar Audu of APC and the incumbent governor, Idris Wada of PDP.

At the end of the collation on Sunday, no return was made as INEC declared the elections inconclusive. Supplementary elections in Kogi state will be held on a later date to be announced by the electoral commission.
