The Tanzanian President, John Magufuli has fired his interior minister, Charles Kitwanga for appearing drunk before the parliament.
The country's prime minister, Kassim Mahalia said “The president has revoked the appointment of Home Affairs Minister Charles Kitwanga following reports that he was drunk in parliament and failed to respond properly to questions” while speaking with the Tanzanian Broadcasting Corporation (TBC).
The president is regarded as a no-nonsense man. He reportedly clamped down on outrageous spending by government officials and also canceled unnecessary foreign visits.
