When prices of commodities keep rising but you can afford it. Although, you have to now work more to earn more money to afford it and you can feel it one way or the other.
The danger is when a larger percentage of the society can't even afford to buy a family loaf of bread or one derica of Garri.
When you make the prayer: no matter how hard or how high the price of stuffs are, God should let you be able to buy it.
But those who will endanger your lives are those who are not able to buy it even with all their hard work because of the poor society we find ourselves where the rich few are getting richer and the poor is getting poorer.
What we should all pray and work for is a fair society where all citizens have sense of belonging. A man working and earning 30k Naira a month should be able to live within his means.
In Nigeria of today, you can not advice a family man earning 30k Naira a month to live within his means as it is impossible.
The bills are definitely way higher with little or nothing from the government.
We have normalized providing water for ourselves (na you go dig your borehole), provide electricity (who you be wey you no go buy Generator if you want light), even road (abi you no go contribute when community association comes knocking).
Nigerians are getting virtually nothing for being Nigerians yet the leaders will blame the poor citizens for whatever is happening.
We are suffering from failed leadership. Even bad citizens will do the right thing with good leadership.
Today, determine to do your best in your society and come together to identify genuine minds with great leadership skills that can change the narrative without unnecessary sentiment.
My thoughts this morning. Have a great weekend.
