L-R: ANA Kwara Chairman, Conveners of MADI with the founder, Rofiat Abdulkareem-Seidu and Director of National Library (Kwara), Mrs. Kafayat Olani

Mirror Africa Development Initiative donated gifts to school children at the 2023 Annual National Readership Promotion Campaign organized by the National Library of Nigeria, Kwara State branch, in Ilorin. The event was held on Thursday, 28th September, 2023 at the Ilorin-West Local Government Secretariat, Ilorin.

Rofiat Omotayo Abdulkareem-Seidu, the convener and founder of Mirror Africa Development Initiative (MADI), expressed the belief that providing quality education not only enhances the cognitive development of children but also establishes a bedrock for societal equity. This gesture stands as MADI's contribution to nurturing and advancing social education at the grassroots level, aligning with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq's progressive education reforms in Kwara State and the broader mission of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In a testament to MADI's unwavering commitment, Abdulkareem-Seidu promised to continue supporting students, with a particular focus on those attending public schools. The gesture was warmly appreciated by Hajia Kafayat Olani, the Director of National Library of Nigeria, Kwara State branch, Mr. Babayemi Opeyemi, the Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Authors, representatives from Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and all other well-wishers present.

It should be recalled that Rofiat Omotayo had earlier supported The National Library of Nigeria (Kwara State Branch) during the Children’s Day in May this year.
