The world at large have given credits to Nigeria and The INEC commissioner in particular for a job well done. Over 80% of Nigerians accepted that the country had a fair and free elections in the last Saturday's elections into the House of Representatives and The Senate. The Nation witness the turnaround in many states which is characterized by the loss of big politicians which an ordinary Nigerian would not think they will loose. They include the Speaker of The House of Representative, Hon. Dimeji Bankole and Senator Iyabo Obasanjo Bello. Both in Ogun State.
Though, there was threat to peace and anxiety in some states where they have situation of bomb attacks like the ones in Suleja (the INEC
office) and in Maiduguri. With these people still come out to exercise their civic duties.
This is a turnaround indeed. Let us hope the Elections will be concluded in a very good way.
