The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has accused the Federal Government of deliberately attempting to mislead the international community over the take-off date of the planned removal of oil subsidy.
NLC President, Comrade Abdulwahed Omar
The congress said this in reaction to statements credited to the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Allison-Madueke, at a press briefing in Perth, Australia, last Tuesday where she had allegedly claimed the Federal
Government had not taken a decision on the removal of oil subsidy.
Also, a group of youth has also threatened to go on 'HUNGER STRIKE' to protest against the subsidy removal. The support which has already been given to President Goodluck Jonathan has suffered a setback. The House of Assembly members have also been divided on the matter while the Governors have also reversed their support.
It is clear that most of the NIgeria citizens do not support the oil subsidy removal.
The question is: IS THIS MR. PRESIDENT'S AGENDA FOR THE NATION?
