Earlier on Wednesday, fire broke out of a coal mine in Northeastern Liaoning Province. Al-jazeera reported that at least 24 workers were killed and 52 injured.
As at the time of the report, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. China has recorded a number of deaths from mine-related accidents in past years.
