Sad! My Letter to President Jonathan and Others

I am deeply saddened as am writing this. This is becoming unbearable. Nigeria, a nation I grew up to know as a peaceful nation now turning to a place where people don't feel happy anymore. Bomb blasts, kidnapping among others have now turned to the usual activities.

Funeral Prayers for Some of the students
What trigerred this writeup is the attitude of the number one citizen of this nation who has shown some sense of negligence with what I think he doesn't see as a big thing or probably his advisers are the ones who convince him every time that things like that are not to be worried about.

On April 14, 2014, a bomb blast occurred at Nyanya car park in Abuja where scores were killed. To everyone's surprise, Mr. President went to Kano state for the People's Democratic Party rally held the next day and had fun there (azonto session as Nigerians call it). I was not happy with that.

Now, on 10th November, 2014, a suicide bomber killed innocent students at Science College in Potiskum, Yobe State. And again, Mr. President chose to go ahead with his presidential declaration at Eagle's square in Abuja the next day. Why sir? There should be some respect for the lost souls at least. They were suppose to be leaders of tomorrow. I feel so much pain in my heart.

Why should political or individual interests be placed above the real responsibility of the office. We are not safe anymore! We now live in fear! I don't know if it will get better soon.

I want to urge all political office holders to please for once put the interest of this nation at heart. No matter how much wealth you acquire, nothing will be buried with you when you die. You may not die by bomb blasts as the victims but everyone will surely die and remember we put u there, you and your family live on our money, you derived everything you have from the poor and no matter what you may have, it doesn't cost almighty God to take them away at once.

Please change your ways! I have said mine and will still continue to say it.

Prayer for Nigeria: May Almighty God wipe off every single individual who has hand in all these atrocities...amin.
