[BREAKING] Ekiti APC Assembly Lawmakers suspend Speaker and others!

The All Progressives Congress members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly on Friday held a plenary at a secret location. The members who are 19 in numbers according to a report on THE PUNCH website suspended the leader of the seven PDP lawmakers, Dele Olugbemi and others.

They also nullified all legislative proceedings carried out by the seven lawmakers. The plenary was presided over by the embattled speaker who was previously suspended by the PDP caucus, Dr. Adewale Omirin.

This is really a surprise entry by the APC caucus of the lawmakers. Although, more details of this event is still unfolding as at the time of this report.


What does this mean to the politics of Ekiti State and the administration of the incumbent governor, Ayodele Fayose? Fayose's Victory was on Friday affirmed by the elections tribunal sitting in Abuja.

The judgement which was delivered on Friday after the three man-panel dismissed the APC candidate, Mr. Kayode Fayemi's petition challenging the victory of Fayose.
