The IS Militants has released a video online purputedly showing the killing (beheading) of Mr. Goto, 47, is a Japanese and a well know journalist. This is coming in less than a week after it was reported that Mr. Haruna Yukawa was beheaded also.
Mr. Goto traveled to Syria last year to try and secure the release of Yukawa. IS had earlier demanded $200m for the release of these two men.
