Just few weeks to the general elections, Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deizani Alison-Madueke on Sunday said the Federal Government has approved the reduction in pump price of PMS otherwise known as Petrol.
The product will now sell for N87 per litre with immediate effect. Details of the decision is still rolling in.
Nigerias on the other hand might see this as a great development but will not be carried away as this might be just one of those campaign moves for the president. As we earlier witnessed the reduction in Cement price to N1,000 per bag. Yet Nigerians are not getting at that price.
All these reduction coming at this time speak so much. But I will also say the Federal Government may have genuine reasons for this, probably the fall in price of crude oil.
