In a surprising outburst, Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike has declared that his three-month goal drought was as a result of a curse placed on him
It is on record that Emenike went almost three months without
scoring for Fenerbahçe in Turkey’s Süper Lig.
In a media chat with a Turkish newspaper, Milliyet about the situation, the attacker claimed that “something is wrong.”
“My energy is not right, something is wrong, I just need a goal to get
back to form,” Emenike said.
The former Spartak Moscow striker was subsequently subjected to a
ritual called ‘Kur_un Dökme’ in a bid to “remove the curse.”
Quite remarkably, Emenike scored his first league goal since November 2, 2014 shortly after he reportedly underwent the ‘Kur_un Dökme.’
He netted the winner as Fenerbahçe overcame Karabükspor at Dr.
Necmettin Seyhoglu Stadi.
The striker has now netted three league goals this season.
