Tunde Kelani (OPOMULERO) - The Original Man

Tunde Kelani was born on 26th February 1948 in Lagos and lived his early life in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He is popularly known as TK the Chief executive of Mainframe Films and Television Productions - Opomulero.

The most inspiring thing about him and his films is that all of his films are always hits, highly moral, culturally enriched with great international recognition. You will always ask for a replay anytime you watch any of his productions. He is the Original Man

Now, I can boldly tell you there is one man who is now proving himself to be in the league of great men like TK and has also produced great and mouth watering movies with enormous intetnational acceptance. He is Kunle Afolayan. The brain that produced movies such as FIGURINE and the latest OCTOBER 1st.

If you were born in the 20th century, you have missed a little of TK's previous films from the days of Ti Oluwa Ni Ile (Part 1, 2 and 3). The movie has a lead act in person of Kareem Adepoju popularly known as Baba Wande. It is a movie I can never forget and would still watch it at anytime.

Believe me I can't put all my thoughts and great feelings about Tunde Kelani and his Opomulero productions into words but you will be the judge of that when you watch his movies. They are just excellently structured with nice subtitles and great pictures plus comprehensive storyline.

To date, he has produced a total of 12 undiluted, unbeaten and excellently packed movies namely:

1. Ti Oluwa Ni Ile (Part 1, 2 and 3)
2. Ayo Ni Mofe (Part 1 and 2)
3. KOSEEGBE
4. Oleku (Part 1 and 2)
5. Thunderbolt (Magun)
6. SAWOROIDE
7. Campus Queen
8. Yellow Card
9. ABENI (Part 1 and 2)
10. The Narrow Path
11. MAAMI - This movie had the dynamic and multi talented Omo Ghetto star, Funke Akindele at her best. She delivered a role I couldn't have imagined in the movie.
12. ARUGBA
13. Dazzling Mirage - his latest production.

Meanwhile, like every film maker, he has also faced a lot of piracy problems. For instance, he lamented the rate of privacy on the day he released MAAMI and came across it being hawked by CD sellers the same day. He reacted and said he might stop releasing movies in Nigeria as little or nothing is been done to curb this problem.

Now, you understand why I call him the Original Man. He is a living legend. Respect sir.
