China Orders Muslims to Drink Alcohol and Smoke

Muslim shop owners and restaurants in the troubled Xinjiang region have been ordered to sell alcohol and cigarettes or face prosecution and closure. According to a report on Washington Post, the shop owners are ordered to display the alcohol and cigarettes in "eye-catching displays" in an attempt to undermine Islam's hold on local residents.

Also, Government employees and their children have been banned from attending Mosques and observing fast during the month of Ramadan.

The Holy Qur'an forbids 'smoking and alcohol consumption' which is the main reason Muslims do not consume it.

China says this order is part of their campaign to weaken religion extremism. It is also believed that local residents in the area who don't smoke or drink alcohol are religious extremists.

Although, this matter has not received any major reaction from world leaders as this is seen as a "religion torment " by many Muslims. This is just a way of taking people's freedom from them. One thing is certain, these Muslims will be called terrorists if they react to this or try to resist this torment. Let us preach peace and not take freedom from people. May God grant the world peace and unity.
