Boko Haram: Troops apprehend child suicide bomber in IDP camp

The Nigerian military has apprehended a potential child suicide bomber at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, Dalori, Maiduguri metropolis in Borno state, Northeast Nigeria.

Master Usman Modu Tella, an 11 year old was apprehended on Tuesday afternoon by the military men in charge of internal security at the camp. He is one of the wanted Boko Haram suspects whose photographs were released by the Nigerian Army. He is suspect number 82 on the poster. 

Usman's arrest also led to the discovery of another senior member of the terrorist group pointed out by Usman.  Alhaji Kerewu Abubakar is a senior member of the group pointed out by the boy.

Investigations by the Army revealed that the boy is from Bama town and among four other children trained for suicide bombing. He told the army that other children have done their job at other locations which he is waiting to do same in the nearest future. 

It can be recalled that the Boko Haram terrorists group has target IDP camps due to influx of people into the camp in recent times. Meanwhile, the Army has stepped up its fight to wipe out this dreaded group by the end of 2015.
