The Kaduna state government has stated it's commitment to feed about 1.5 million pupils in primary school. The statement was made on Monday by the state's governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai at Aliyu Makama primary school, Barnawa in Kaduna state where the school feeding program was flagged off.
The program is intended to boost the agricultural activities and revenue in the state. An estimate of about 1.8 million crates of eggs per week with large quantities of rice, beans and beef expected for the program.
The governor stated that indirect jobs will be created, thereby, improving the social and economic status of the state. Also, monitoring of the program's performance is also in place.
