The senate president, Bukola Saraki on Sunday visited Baboko in Ilorin, Kwara state where a recent fire outbreak happened at the Baboko market.

Saraki pledges to help those who were affected by the incident reconstruct their shops and also compensate them for their loses.
The unfortunate incident which happened in December 2015 was reportedly caused by a spark from an electric cable from one of the shops when electricity was restored in the market. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that twenty shops were completely razed by the fire and goods worth millions of Naira were destroyed.
