Thirteen Years Remembrance: Tribute to Gbenga Adeboye

On this day in 2003, the world lost an icon, a legend whose shoes are yet to be filled, Prince Gbenga Adeboye a.k.a. Alhaji Pastor Oluwo.

Thirteen years after his demise, it still feels like yesterday in the heart of Nigerians. Late Gbenga Adeboye thrilled his fans with exceptional use of language, Yoruba language especially and his miraculous blessing of Arabic knowledge.

He set the pace not only in the entertainment industry but in instilling morals. He was a great philanthropist, accommodated everyone who gets close. He lived a great life worthy of emulation and was blessed with great kids and a beautiful wife.

Damilola Gbenga-Adeboye is one of the beautiful and talented children he left behind. " Words can't express how much I miss him and how badly I still wish he was here. If there is a way to bring him back I will." she said, during a conversation with Seidu Kazeem.

On this particular day in 2006, a talented icon and broadcaster also left this world. Toba Opaleye, a broadcaster at the Ogun state broadcasting corporation (OGBC 2). It is no surprise that Nigeria has not seen talents who could fill in the void left by this legend with special and heaven sent creativity.

Seidu Kazeem's Blog will continue celebrating these legends. Continue to rest on Prince Gbenga Adeboye and Chief Toba Opaleye.
