BREAKING: Niger Delta Avengers Strike Again

The Niger Delta Avengers again blew up another crude export line in Rivers state on Friday. The group which had earlier said it has ceased attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta region said it carried out the attack due to what it called "over dramatisation of the so-called dialogue and negotiation process on the side of President Muhammadu Buhari and his government" as posted on the group's website.

The spokesman of the militant group Mudoch Agbinibo in a statement released on the group's website said:

"On the 23rd September 2016, our strike team, at 20:40 pm, has brought down oil productions activities at the Bonny 48 inches crude oil Export Line.
"Since, the cessation of hostilities and the commitment of the PAN-Niger Delta elders and stakeholders team, the Nigerian government and her agents are turning the expectations of the Niger Delta to shameful scenes obtainable in Nollywood acts and as well intimidation, blackmail and continuous profiting of Niger Delta sons and daughters.
"This is only a wake-up call; we may not have another way to say it better."

Chief Edwin Clark, an elder stateman from the region led a dialogue team with the government. The group however still maintains it is still open for dialogue even after the attack.

Meanwhile, President Buhari in a recent statement said those who looted the country's funds are the ones who recruited the militants to destroy our economy.
