The president and commander in chief of the armed forces, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, at about 11:15am on Monday signed the 2019 appropriation bill into law.
The signed bill has an increase of about 90.33 billion Naira from from the original submission. The president originally proposed 8.83 Trillion Naira but the billed passed by the National Assembly provides for a total amount of 8.92 Trillion Naira.
The vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, outgoing senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki and speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara were present at the ceremony.
