Following the announcement, KLM in a statement signed by him thank God and also promise to give his ultimate best.

In his words: "my nomination as a member of the state cabinet did not come easy as nothing good comes easy. Life is full of challenges but God raised many people who all stood solidly by me.

"I am not the best, but I see my nomination as the grace of God. I also see my nomination and eventual swearing-in as a call to higher service. I have had opportunity to serve my people in different capacities, first as a state legislator, then as SSA to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola but now as a state cabinet member is a call to higher service and I promise, I will never let them down.

"I will bring my wealth of experience as a former legislator, professional, Vice President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a grassroot politician well tutored by many mentors and leaders to bare.

"Our governor, the Ilerioluwa himself has from the beginning operated an open door policy with a listening ear, I intend to replicate that. I promise to operate an open door and will always listen to the people at all times.

"I look forward to working with Mr. Governor and other stakeholders, to uplift his administration and be a pillar of support in entrenching democracy and bring the dividends back home to the people at the grassroots".

"I want to seize this opportunity to specially thank God, my creator for everything. I want to thank the governor of the State of Osun; Mr. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola (Ilerioluwa), my party; the All Progressive Congress, the State Chairman; Prince Gboyega Famodun, our party leader in Odo-Otin; Chief Comrade Adepoju Odusola, the APC Chairman in Odo-Otin; Alhaji Jimoh Asa and my good friend and brother; the Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor of the state, Prince Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo for making this great opportunity to come through", he added.

KLM also acknowledged the contributions of ILERIOLUWA APEX and all the entire group members, the LCDA party Chairman, Odo Otin North, Hon. Kunle Israel, all the elders, women, youths and other stakeholders.

"Friends and well wishers too, will not take a backstage because KLM as a man of his people has quite a lot of following both from within and outside the local government, in the engineering profession and nationwide.

"Their numerous counsel has not gone unheeded and today it is yielding positive fruits. The several progressive groups and others too numerous to mention has also been a huge pillar of support and all through, they did not loose faith in the KLM project. Their names will be written in gold.

"It is because of them that KILOMODEMO or KLM is a household name. Their genuine concern is welcome and in the journey ahead, more of their progressiveness is expected because with power comes great responsibilities.

"Royal fathers have a special place in the life of their people. KLM being a royal scion himself have always been keen to feed from the stool of royalty.

"Their place as custodians of culture and traditions cannot he relegated to the background and their contributions towards this success cannot be swept under the carpet".
