A former presidential spokesperson Doyin Okupe has passed away. His death was confirmed on Friday, 7th March, 2025.
Okupe previously served as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign but stepped down after a court conviction for money laundering.
He resigned from the Labour Party after the 2023 general election and later supported the current administration of President Bola Tinubu. He was also a senior adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
He died at the age of 72.
